Stoffer Ready to Resume Championship Chase - 6/10/2009
After more than a month since her last race, Karen Stoffer, rider of the GEICO Powersports Suzuki, is primed and ready to continue her ascent to the top of the Full Throttle Points Series.
Stoffer's next opportunity comes at the NHRA United Association Route 66 Nationals from Chicago, Ill., June 5-7.
Stoffer has plenty of reasons to be optimistic heading into the next leg of the NHRA's 17-race Pro Stock Motorcycle season.
Stoffer has enjoyed solid qualifying results so far in 2009 and she recorded a career best run of 6.88 at the second event of the season, the NHRA O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston, TX, in late-March.
Stoffer enters Chicago ranked eighth in the Full Throttle Series with 175 points.
"It's been way too long since our last race," Stoffer said. "I'm really excited to get back to the track. We are ready to get that first event win of the season under our belts."
Stoffer went on to extend special thanks to all of her sponsors and supporters.
