Stoffer Searching For Old Bridge Breakout
Karen Stoffer, rider of the Gieco-Suzuki is aiming to advance in the ultra competitive PowerAde point series by succeeding at this weekend's NHRA Lucas Oil Supernationals from Old Bridge Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.
Stoffer has performed well in Englishtown in the past. Last season she qualified in the No. 4 spot with an impressive run of 6.95 at 192 mph and scored a first round victory over Harley-Davidson V-Rod rider Eddie Krawiec.
"I love Englishtown," Stoffer said. "It's a very fast track and we have done well there in the past. I'm excited to have the opportunity to get back in a groove and really go some rounds."
Stoffer comes into the event ranked No. 9 in the series, just 21 points behind No. 8 Craig Treble.
Stoffer is coming off a first round win over Steve Johnson at the Torco Route 66 Nationals two weeks ago.
She looks to keep the momentum up as she takes to the track for her first qualifying run on Friday June 20 at 3:00 PM.
Stoffer extended a special thanks to all of the 2006 sponsors.
